the detroit red wings are retiring Steve Yzerman's #19 jersey tonight. id' be lying if i said that i wasn't a wee bit teary eyed as this guy has been a huge figure in detroit hockey for the past 20-odd years. he's played through pain that most people wouldn't be able to live through and led detroit's resurgence in the NHL by way of multiple Stanley Cups.

pete had mentioned that both he and chris (playa at top shelf productions) enjoyed the painting i did awhile ago of this little guy ... so that inspired me to give him another go. it's kind of fun how somebody else's interest can get you excited about something old.
so i've tinkered with this bRog's color scheme and general layout for the past few hours and i think i've settled on the colors you see heere. tell me what you think in the comments, if you care. i will post something meaningful tomorrow.

a bit of a conversation with a friend about a recent movie:
"tim: i realized near the end that the plot didn't actually make sense, and then i felt very relaxed about watching the rest of the movie, because it was still enjoyable
